Move all your Apple Notes into Byeori — without exporting
Apple Notes has no “export everything” button, and most guides send you through a third-party exporter and a folder of Markdown files. With the Byeori Mac app you skip all of that: it reads your notes straight from the Notes app on your Mac.
How to do it
- 1
- 2
Open it and sign in
Use Google, Apple or email. Google and Apple sign-in finish in your browser, then bring you straight back to the app.
- 3
Go to Settings → Data → Import → Apple Notes
Click “Import from Apple Notes”.
- 4
Allow access once
The first time, macOS asks whether Byeori may control Notes. Click Allow. Byeori only reads — nothing in Notes is changed or deleted.
- 5
Check the preview and import
You see every note before anything is saved. Import, and your notes land in folders that match Notes.
What comes along
- Folders — each Notes folder becomes a folder (iCloud and On My Mac both, kept apart if you use both)
- Photos inside your notes
- When each note was created and last edited
Good to know
- Locked notes are skipped — unlock them in Notes first if you want them
- Attachments other than photos (PDFs, audio, scans) don’t come along yet
No Mac app? (macOS 26 or later)
In Notes, press ⌘A to select all → File → Export as Markdown. Then in Byeori on the web, go to Settings → Data → Import → Apple Notes and choose the folder it made.
iPhone only?
You can share notes into the Byeori iPhone app one at a time. Moving everything at once needs a Mac.
What happens after you import
Byeori links your notes to each other and groups them into the topics you keep coming back to — a map of what you’ve written, in your own words. Nothing is rewritten. Your map starts once you have at least 8 longer notes (about 200 characters or more each) — for most people who bring their notes, that’s import day.
Your notes aren’t used to train AI, and you can export everything any time.
